Bahamas

Where Shallow Seas Meet Endless Freedom

An island nation made for yacht exploration

The Bahamas is a vast archipelago of more than 700 islands and cays, spread across shallow banks of luminous turquoise water. Many islands remain uninhabited, creating a rare sense of space and openness that defines sailing in this part of the world.

What truly sets the Bahamas apart is its unique geography. Much of the archipelago sits on the Great Bahama Bank, where depths often measure just a few meters, producing some of the clearest water on the planet. This makes the Bahamas ideal for swimming, snorkeling, and anchoring close to shore — with visibility that can exceed 100 feet.

The islands are also known for distinctive wildlife encounters and natural curiosities. From the famous swimming pigs and friendly stingrays to reef sharks and expansive sandbars that appear at low tide, the Bahamas offers experiences found nowhere else in the Caribbean reagion. Despite welcoming millions of visitors each year, only a small fraction explore the islands by yacht — making sailing one of the most rewarding ways to discover this extraordinary destination.
